I have forgotten my Sign pathword created some years ago!
What is the procedure to change it or to deactivate it before to create a new one. Thanks.
For the last year, I've been able to digitally sign pdf's and go directly to the password screen.
Now, I am directed to the "do you want to use an existing signature" screen and have to jump through hoops to use my password.
What has changed?
Using Action Wizard is it possible to create the steps:
Add text to date stamp
Javascript
Encrypt
Save
Customer upgraded their systems to Windows 7 and Acrobat 11.0. We are having problem with e-signing through our application. E-signing works out of box to e-sign a pdf but it is not working with our system. Previously System had Acrobat 9.0 and it was working for e-signing. Basically we are using customized JavaScript in our application that works for e-signing. It was working for Acrobat 9.0 when we were placing it in installation folder of Acrobat 9.0. It is not working for Acrobat 11.0. Error that we are getting is “-2146827850 Object doesn’t support this property or method.”
We have upgraded to Acrobat XI pro, and our smart card signature is not found, however, when I open the file in adobe reader it locates my signature.
For 4 months the visible signature worked perfect.
But today when I make a visible signature it is not visible.
It seems to be kind of periodic:
I tried one PDF document, and the visible signature was not visible
Then I tried with another document, and the first time the signature was visible.
When I tried more times on the original second document, the signature was every time invisible.
I use Windows 7, 32 bit, and Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.10.

... when I save my PDF as a JPEG it makes the JPEG file private (with a Gold Lock) by default. How do I change this ? Acrobat 9 did not do this on its own. Thanks.
I have a form that I signed roughly two weeks ago. Within that time, there became a need to clear that signature. Normally, when I would right-click on my signature, I would be provided an option to "clear signature". I am no longer able to see that option. I signed the document using the same version I am currently using, on the same computer, and the document has validated the signature.
How do I clear a signature using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, ver 11.0.10?
Thanks!
I hope someone has run into this. I have acrobat 11.0.10 to create fill-able forms and reader 11.0.10 to view and fill them. Do to the nature of the forms a drawn signature is required and is available right up until I add a submit button with a mailto: action. Then all that is available in the reader is the digital certificate. I should add that I save the form without reader extensions. Is there a way to add the auto-adressed mailto function for the person filling the form and still keep the drawable signature option for signing?
It used to be in Acrobat Standard XI when you signed a document, it would automatically append "signed" to the file name when saving it. It doesn't do this anymore - I guess it was removed in an update? Is there anyway to do set that option?
Hello everyone. I wonder if there is any way to protect a file using javascript that can not be copied.
Thanks in advance.
steve was doing a post regarding the digital signature and solved the issue if on Windows by right clicking over "place signature" and do the drop down menu for image signature - how is that done on the Mac? I have a mac and somehow - sure I did something but now when I asked to place signature it comes up with a box asking to drag new signature box. I don't want digital signature - just the drop down image of my signature...
Hello,
We are using Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and have issued certificates to users in our Domain. Using Acrobat X, I am able to create and sign a document using the certificate issued by ADCS, however whenever someone else in the organization opens the PDF, they get a "At least one signature has problems". Upon checking the properties of the signature, they see the "Signature validity is UNKNOWN" message. Now all the machines have the RootCA and the IssuingCA certificates on their machines and I can see it in the Windows Certificate store as well. Due to this, the chain of trust is also valid when you open the certificate as well. Can someone tell me what I'm missing here? What else do I need to do so at least users in my organization can successfully sign and validate each other's signatures? Any help/advice/comments are appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

i created pdf file, an make security option with no access print and save, when we open that file in reader, print is blocked, but save as button still appear and user could be save in other place or namefile, how to make save as not permitted
When I click the signature field of my document, I get no "sign as" prompt to enter a new ID. When I click the 'sign' tab, nothing is highlighted/accessible (e.g. enter text, sign doc, etc.). I can type and populate the form fine when it's not a signature field. What's going on?
Up to this afternoon I was able to sign my documents with an advanced signature by Signtrust (Acrobat 11.0.10, Win 7 32 bit). Suddenly, without made any changes, I get the message "Die für das Unterschreiben ausgewählte Referenz ist ungültig" (engl. "the choosen reference for signing is not valid"). Signing with other tools or Acrobat 9 is still possible.
I have a Word document that I have exported as a PDF. Then in Acrobat Pro XI I have applied security settings:
Restrict editing and printing of the document. A password will be required in order to change the permission settings.
I have enabled High Resolution printing.
Changes allowed is set to "Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing existing signature fields".
I have NOT selected the option to "Enable copying of text, images, or other content".
I have selected "Enable text access for screen readers for visually impaired".
Finally, I have it password protected in order to change any of these settings.
However, I recently found with barely any searching, TWO apps in Chrome that allows the text to be copied and pasted, or exported directly to Word.
How do I prevent this from happening?
I want to sign conventionally by including my signature image. However, when I choose to configure signature appearance, Adobe Reader XI cannot import graphics in jpg, only choice is pdf and signature image came out truncated! So, is it confirm that, if we want to include signature image together with the digital ID's text, we can only use Adobe Acrobat to do it? Appreciate if anyone can help to advise on this. Thanks.
I am using Windows 7 64bit, Adobe Acrobat XI and have imported my personal digital signature certificate as well as the certificate from the signing authority. They both show in preferences, but mine has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point before it. When I try to sign a pdf document I get the following error message: "You do not have any digital IDs suitable for signing this document". Anyone know what the missing pieces are? Thanks
