Signature Initials move after saving

When I save my pdf after putting my initials on the document, they move upward on the page. How can I place my initials so that they save in the place I have put them?

Some on our team can see all of the CAC signatures, but others cannot - but have in the recent past. What may cause this disparity?

Our team of five people have each CAC-signed a pdf document.  3 of the same people can see all of the signatures, but 2 others can only see one of the five signatures.  Worse than that, the Senior Staff person (not one of the five signers) who needs to have a fully-signed copy is also unable to see the five signatures.

We have examples images of the same file as seen by each extreme, one with all signatures visible and the other with only a single signature visible.

Looking to learn causes for this disparity.  Did someone possibly make the wrong selection when signing or have some feature turned on or off when signing?  Or is it about the settings of the viewer/reader?  But, if the latter is the case, then why does the viewer/reader show any signatures at all?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Seeking how to assign password to a folder.

User manual Adobe Acrobat XI  states this is doable using the "Action Wizard".

I  selected files (the specific parent folder) to process.

Then selected the action and typed in the description "go to protection"

but left the bottom half of the dialog box blank, then saved it.

I'm not able to further select files to be processed?

I do not know what needs to be done next.

Please help, tyia

btw- Using Windows 7 Professional on laptop device.

The file folder I seek to encrypt with a password is on the C:/ drive

as a folder within the folders MyDocuments/Public/    .

There are six (6) sub-folders under the parent folder.  Each folder

contains 5 to 11 PDF files.

I would like to encrypt the parent file, then copy that file to a DVD.    - Neil

I see DoD Root CA 2 is in the trusted certificate list but the newer root CAs are not.  Is there a way to add DoD Root CA 3 so the certificates that sign documents are validated?   I have tried updating the certificate list but no joy.

Hi I am new  this forum and I am by no means an expert in all things computer. I have Adobe reader on my laptop using with Windows 10.  Somewhere along the line I have asked for all pdfs to be password protected, but can't remember where or when. I don't have acrobat on my PC just reader. So what has happened recently, is that everytime I scan a document into my pc via ( Not another pdf scanner) and save it, it demands a password when opening. I have sent  it to myself to check and this always happens. Same when I send it to anyone else, the document demands a password.  If I use my husbands PC and same software no problem I scan in save to a pen drive and no password required to open. So I have eliminated the scanning issue, you can't do this in the scanner program. I have looked at all the usual help on the internet but it seems that I can only remove this password in  Adobe Acrobat which I don't have. I vaguely recall doing something ages ago but I think that was in Firefox. So hope someone out there can help. Please note I am not over technical, I can follow simple instructions but when people start saying " go into file line such and such" I am lost.

How do I configure my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC documents to accept actual signatures from a Wacom CTH-480?

Background:

  • We are an agricultural company that is finally going paperless.  We have a requirement from HR, to get all of our I-9s, W-4s, employment applications, health insurance forms and banking forms digitized.
  • I have created all the digitize forms in Adobe Acrobat DC (version 12), with all the check boxes, radio buttons and signature/date blocks required.
  • HR will be using a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, with a connected Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch, small (CTH-480) to sign documents.

Problem:

  • Currently, when I click in the signature block, Adobe brings up the Sign Document dialogue box and in the Sign As: dropdown box, allows me to select New ID...
  • If I select the option for A new digital ID I want to create now, I can go through the whole setup and create a new "digital signature."
  • This isn't what we want.
  • I want to be able to click the option for a new digital ID and be able to actually sign the document electronically, from the Wacom signature pad.

Question:

What do I need (Software- or Hardware-related) to accomplish what I want to do?  I am on a limited budget and don't have lots and lots of money to throw at the solution.

Adding Digital Signature Field Problems

Version: Adobe Pro DC 2017.01.12.20098

I can no longer add a Digital Signature field into my fillable PDF forms for some reason.

I can add a Signature Field but it is a "Text Field" so when I use Adobe Sign to send out for Signature its does not ask the user to sign those "Text Fields" so when the user submits the form back those forms are blank.

Can I get some suggestions on how to insert these signature fields??

Thanks

Why do I have to sign in to Adobe to register the program every time I move from one IP to another?  I should only have to register it once and be able to digitally sign documents whereever I am without having to sign into Adobe.  Is this a bug?

Acrobat XI stops responding when applying document redactions

Very frustrated from trying multiple times to redact information from several documents.

I mark certain words for redaction.  Then I apply redactions.  The applying of the document redactions starts, but freezes/hangs within seconds of starting.

I can end the task using the task manager and when I reopen Acrobat, it gives me the option to open the previous document.

I have waited for Acrobat to apply the redactions as long as 3.5 hours with no luck.

Anyone else experience this?  Anyone have any ideas as to how to get Acrobat to apply redactions rather than hang?

Thank you,

PDF Security with Form Fields

$

Hi

I'm setting up secure PDF with Form Fields that allow people to answer questions in the PDF.

I've set to allow "Commenting, filling in Form Fields etc" and UNCHECKED the box to "Allow copying of Content"

My problem occurs when I open the secured document and add some text to one of the form fields, my MAC says "The original Document cant be changed, so a copy of the original has been created".
When I save that copy and re-open, the security setting seem to have been wiped and any of the Content in the PDF can be copied. What's going wrong here and how can I prevent this from happening?
Thanks

password protected pdfs

Sorry but I couldnt find how to add a new comment onto this discussion that I  posted a few days ago.  Sorry for the absence but been dealing with a close relative who is undergoing Chemotherapy at the moment.  After a short breather.. here I am again.  So my original post was this:

Hi I am new  this forum and I am by no means an expert in all things computer. I have Adobe reader on my laptop using with Windows 10.  Somewhere along the line I have asked for all PDFs to be password protected, but can't remember where or when. I don't have acrobat on my PC just reader. I have sent  it to myself to check and this always happens. Please note I am not over technical, I can follow simple instructions but when people start saying " go into file line such and such" I am lost.

I have managed to screen capture what happens. Its always in adobe reader.  I take the point that I can't set or unset a password in reader. I must have set a password demand somewhere and as I said in my original post, vaguely recall putting a password demand for all pdfs in somewhere but can't  recall where or how.  Don't know if the capture helps but happy to try anything as this is driving me nuts because everytime I send a pdf via email to someone (something I am doing a lot at the moment related to the health problems with my husband) it demands a password from the recipient. so they can't open the pdf without a password.

I need to clear a digital signature from a fillable PDF so I can make some changes and re-sign. I use to be able to do this with Acrobat X but I can't seem to find clear signature with Acrobat Standard DC. Any ideas?

Signed and all signatures are valid, but with unsigned changes after the last signature

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and initially had problems that elicited this message:

"At least one signature has problems. Please fill out the following form."

This message was eliminated by doing the following:

  1. 1. Click on “Signature Panel Button”
(upper right) and the signature panel opens to the left

    2. Right click on "Rev.1: Signed by DocuSign, Inc."

    3. Click on “Show Signature Properties”

    4. Click “Show Certificate button” (under the summary tab) - the Certificate
    Viewer opens

    5. Click “Trust” tab.

    6. Click “Add to Trusted Identities”

    7. Adobe Security window opens, click "OK"

    8. Click OK, and again until you exit from the all the dialogue boxes.

Next time you open up a PDF, the DocuSign Signature should be valid (trusted).

Once the PDF form was closed and re-opened, the first message was gone but replaced by:

"Signed and all signatures are valid, but with unsigned changes after the last signature. Please fill

out the following form."

Now how do I get rid of this second, unwanted message?

Thank you.

Can it be set up so a password is required to insert a saved signature - for a signature as an image/saved signature from Fill and Sign menu, not a digital adobe id signature.
