Digital Signature Issue: Acrobat Professional 2017 17.0 WIN ESD ALL CLASSIC

I've purchased a lifetime adoble license (Acrobat Pro 2017) for Windows, When I use Digital Signature the application freezes and crashes. I tried different PC but still the same, here are the steps I do:

 

Here are the steps that I follow to create digital signature :

 

  1. Click on Certificate and then select Digital signature   “ A window will come up, asking to specify the place for the signature “
  2. Then easily drag the mouse to create a rectangular as a location for the signature “ A window will come up, with an option to create Digital signature “
  3. When I click on “Create Digital signature”Button, the software will freeze and not response anymore, it supposed to come with three option to create digital signature but it does not.
  4. I've read this article on adobe forum but it didn't help :Can't Sign In Acrobat DC, get loading icon instead?

Timestamp using a server that requires client Certificate authentication.

Is anyone having trouble consuming timestamps from a TSA Server that requires client authentication using Certificates?

 

From my experience, Adobe Reader DC always fails on the first attempt after being freshly opened. If i try to timestamp after the first failure, it works perfectly.

 

Using Wireshark, i took a look at the packets exchanged in a first attempt:

- I can see the handshake between Reader and the Server occurring without issues

- Reader sends the TSA Request and an immediately shuts down the connection.

- The request is still processed on the server and tries to reply but the connection is already lost.

 

This behavior seem to shift between Win10 versions.

 

Any ideias?

AATL and EUTL update button not working

Hello,

 

I have trouble updating (and with that, receiving) AATL and EUTL lists.

 

When I press the "Update now" button in Trust manager, nothing happens. Thanks to this, all signatures look invalid on the computer.

 

Notes:

- Issue present on 2 computers (possibly more) I have tried the proposed solution in a different thread (using Adobe cleaner tool and reinstalling) on both device but it didn't help.

- Both run Windows 10 64-bit, other devices of the same type and connected to the same network don't have this issue.

- On one computer the issue is present both in Acrobat Reader DC and Acrobat Pro DC.

- I have contacted Adobe Tech Support but they didn't know how to help me. (I can provide case number via DM, but I have written all necessary info here)

 

Thank you in advance for any ideas how to solve this issue.

How to create multiple digital sigs in AA X

Am I limited to only two digital signatures in Acrobat X? Every time I add a new digital signature it removes one of my previous digital signatures from the list. Is there a way to have three digital signatures?

Hello,

 

I have a user who cannot digitally sign PDFs.

 

We use DoD Common Access Cards.

 

1) The user clicks on the signature field.

 

2) Selects a Digital ID.

 

3) Clicks "Sign".

 

4) Selects a file name and location to save the pdf.

 

5) Enters his PIN.

 

This is where we see the error message:

 

Windows Cryptographic Service Provider - Unknown smart card error 2148532255.

 

This issue appears to be computer-specific, as the user has been able to sign pdfs on other computers.

 

If anyone has tackled this issue before, I'd appreciate the help.

Credential Selected Invalid

I am using my CAC to digitally sign documents  on my MAC book pro all of a sudden they start popping up an error message stating "the credential selected for signing is invalid" which have have used in the past. I have restored the computer downloaded the new adobe and still not working please help.

Signature invalid problem

I have a big issue that invalidates my signature in pdf files.

I'm using a token certificate to sign the documents.

After saving and signing the document it gives me the message "Signed and all signatures are valid"  - photo 1 (sorry for the low quality) :test1.jpg

The issue is that after i close and reopen the same document it invalidates my signature - photo 2 :

test2.jpg

The error message is: " There have been changes made to this document that invalidate the signature"

I have the same issue with all type of documents that i use.

The issue started to happen recently, few days ago.

Also it gives me the same error for documents i've signed months ago, and no issues back than.

Please help, my work is useless without valid signature.

Cannot get a "signature validated" with a Globalsign certificate

I have a document, correctly signed with a (higly expensive) GlobalSign hardware certificate plugged to a computer. GlobalSign is present in the Adobe's Trust List (Adobe Approved Trust List Members, Acrobat ), but still looks like it's not valid on Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for macOS:

So, what is the problem here?

I am using Identrust to put on a digital signature. They said because it is error 12 that I am getting, it is an adobe issue.

How do we sign a pdf with an electronic signature that has a digital signature already on it. It will only let us use a digital signature and we dont have one or want to get one Thanks

- when I click the Sign button it shows the 2 signatures that are already there but no options to add or edit those and I don't know where else to look to either fix one of the current signatures or add additional ones

I am also having the same issue, despite having a valid e signature. This is significantly impeding my productivity, thank you for looking into it. Please update if a workaround exists.

 

Recap:

1. Press "Digitally Sign"

2. Select area on document

3. "Sign With Digital ID" window appears

4. Valid company-issued Windows Digital ID is present and radio button is selected.

5. Press "Continue"

6. ID Preview displays correct signature/date

7. "Sign" button is blue, and reacts to "onlick" (color changes slightly when clicked).

8. "Sign as ______" window remains opened, despite multiple clicks. Other buttons (i.e. "Back", "Review", "Create") function nominally.

Adobe Forms: "This Signature Requires Validation"

My organization uses adobe e-sign capabilities for internal forms. Upon receipt of a signed form, the highlight bar says that "a signatures requires validation." Is this new? I have not seen this before.  I have figured out a way to make an individual "trusted" - manually. Is there a way to push trusted contacts by IT so that all signatures are "valid"?  Please note: most individuals within the firm use Adobe Reader. I have Acrobat DC Pro

Why some PDF's can be e-id signed ... & some require a new Digital ID ?

Since last DC update (2018.011.20058) , some PDF's cannot be e-id signed anymore !

When clicking on sign-box, we get the wizard requesting to create a new Digital ID

 

But no problem for other PDF (f.e. this one : https://www.google.be/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=10&ved=2ahUKEwiu943l7KXdAhXCL VAKHQXgBW4QFjAJegQIBRAC&url=ht… )

 

 

PKCS module imported (Belgium Gov : beidpkcs11.dll)

 

Not working PDF's generated through Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2

PDF Version : 1.7 (Acrobat 8.x)

 

working PDF in the example above generated through Acrobat Distiller 11.0

PDF version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)

 

But I'm not sure that the generator is the root cause but most probably how is configured the sign-box settings before generating PDF

 

These PDF's are generated outside of course …

Multiple downloaded signatures become the same signature

Hi,

 

I've created three digital signatures and inserted PDF images of the hand drawn signatures for each.

 

My issue is that now all three signatures contain the same image. As soon as I add an image for one signature, they all change and display the same image.

 

I've erased everything and started over with no success.

 

What I'm I doing wrong?

 

I have Acrobat Pro 2017

Is there away to allow specified users to access a fillable pdf?

I have produced a fillable pdf form which calculates drug infusion rates for doctors working in intensive care. We currently use an excel spreadsheet which allows users to be approved once they have taken a prescribing test. I would like to do something similar for my pdf document.

 

The document itself will be saved to a shared drive on a hospital computer network. Users have a login and password to access the network. The idea is that the ward pharmacist manages user access.

 

Is this possible/??
