We recently upgraded to Acrobat DC. We have documents that have been digitally signed. Now when someone else opens them it says "The validity of the document certification is UNKNOWN. The author could not be verified." I've read up as much as I could (didn't know anything about them except how to sign a doc with one) and I've checked several things and can't find the problem. When I go to the certificate viewer it shows that we have a Certificate Authority. I read on another post that the latest Acrobat/Reader version enforce "Extended Key Usage" (EKU) attribute in the signing certificate. I checked that out and the OID (not sure what that stands for) that permit signing has five things: server authentication, client authentication, code signing, email protection and TimeStamping. It says in the Revoation tab "The selected certificate does not chain up to a certificate designated as a trusted anchor (see the Trust Tab for details). The result is that revocation checks were not performed on this certificate." It seems that I could "Add to Trusted Certificates" but we've never had to do that before, why now? Not to mention it advises me that I shouldn't do that. Please help. Thanks! Let me know if you need anything other information to trouble shoot.
Trouble with digital signature problem - The validity of the document certification is UNKNOWN. The author could not be verified.
Removing signature that I added to a secure document in Acrobat DC
So I have completed filling out a form created for me by someone else and then I signed the document using a document that is a picture of my signature. I then saved the document. I realized I needed to make some changes to the document but can't figure out how to remove my signature to edit anything. The entire document can not be edited anymore and my signatures can't be deleted. The document is locked (by whoever created it). I just want to go back and change a few things. Help! Thanks!
Digital ID and Security
I set a digital ID to secure a PDF form, misunderstanding what this would do for security. Then I was no longer allowed to change the security on my own form. I attempted to remove the ID and was successful but now I am kicked out of the PDF form and can not even open it. Please help!
Draw My signature in Acrobat IX
Hi all, I have been through the forums & seen this question or variants of it asked in several guises, but no real answer to the question, which is. Is there the Draw my signature or equivalent in Acrobat IX? I have the digital thing mastered & have been using this for years, but what I need now is that one form I designed needs to be signed by an engineer & customer.
I have created the form & everything is fine with fields inputs etc., but what I want is for field engineers to use the form on the road with a touch screen tablet, so I need a field (Box) in which the customer can free sign And it will be saved to the document by the engineer, this way they can email it straight to the office complete with signatures.
I have looked on the forum, but have not managed to find an answer, so apologies in advance if I've missed it, but any help would be really appreciated.
Best wishes & thanks in advance.
Simon
i need some help with the trust certificate

Can a digital signature unlock a document?
I'm wondering if there's a way for a digital signature to unlock a document... Specifically, I'm wondering if there's a way for the signing of an NDA to automatically unlock the remainder of a PDF, where the NDA is either visible on the first page of the doc with all subsequent pages locked until signed, or the NDA appears in some kind of dialogue/overlay that appears when the PDF is opened.
Anyone have any idea if this is possible?
Acrobat will not open and give error message error 312.11
How do I open acrobat professional when it says a problem occurred with the licensing and it gives the message error 213.11? I have purchased and paid for this software and have been using it for a couple of years.
Batch processing of security features in Acrobat DC versions.
Greetings - Just a quick question here on the differences in batch processing features in Acrobat DC versions.
I have Acrobat XI Standard and would like to know whether:
1. Acrobat XI Pro is still available as an upgrade; and if not
2. Does Acrobat DC Standard and/or Pro allow batch processing of all security settings, including removing or adding passwords to PDFs?
Much obliged for any and all responses,
Adrian.
How can I password a pdf file?
Simple as above. Is there a way to do it without having to purchase software/license? I create Word and Excel documents and then post 'em on a web page; sometimes I need/want to password them. I can password the original docs easily with MSOffice but then in saving as .pdf files I lose the protection.

Password protection
I currently have acrobat reader and waiting for acrobat pro 2015 to be installed on my computer. I would like to password protect the files that i have already scanned and saved on my computer. Is this possible even though I got acrobat pro after i have already scanned the documents?
How add an attachment after the form has been digitally signed or initialed?
I am working with a form that requires to be initialed quarterly by two persons, where each an attachment needs to be added. The form is then signed, by three persons at the end of the year to closed it out. The issue I am having is that after the first set of initials, attachments no longer can be added. Does anybody have a solution for this one?
Cannot create a digital ID/signature
I tried in vain to create a digital signature to enable me to sign and authorize a pdf doc today. With each attempt Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.2 asks for a digital file (defaults to a path of it's choosing) and a password. I have no idea which password it wants. No matter what I enter I get the same message: "Passwords don't match" Don't match what??
I spent over an hour with Tech Support Chat rep who commandeered my desktop and largely accomplished nothing.
Can't create new PKCS#12 digital ID file in Adobe Pro 10.1.15. Getting error "passwords do not match".
I needed to delete my old certs (which I did and now have none at all) and create a new one with the correct email address, and when I try, it keeps giving me the error "passwords do not match". I updated my adobe online sign in and password but still can't create one. So what password is it comparing this to? What doesn't match? I CAN create the windows certificate store but not the PKCS#12 cert. PLEASE HELP? Even though I have 3 registered Adobe products, I called support and they won't help me..... Thx Adobe!!!

Very hard to use signature function in Acrobat DC- old version was so much easier to use. Takes me longer to sign documents now and looks unprofessional. Used to draw rectangle and done, now multiple steps and looks like a fake signature.
I am I the only one having a hard time figuring this out and why is the one thing I need product for so hard to use? Can't find any instructions online to assist and no phone number to call for help that I can find.
How can I sign multiple PDF files at once in Acrobat 10? Please tell me the way of making action/batch processing.
I have to sign around 500 PDF files during a day in the hospital lab. In Armenia we use a program which is called JSignPdf, and it doesn't allow us to sign multiple documents.
How can I add my email address to my digital signature?
In the past, whenever I digitally signed PDF documents, my email address used to show up next to my Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0 digital signature. However, since I bought a new computer and upgraded it to Windows 10 when I digitally sign a document my email does not appear next to my signature.
How can I add my email address to my digital signature? And why does it no longer show up?
How do I digitally sign twice in the same file? It's not letting me, certificates is grayed out after the first one.
I'm trying to sign two documents in one file. It will only let me sign one. Once I sign the first one the Certificates thing is grayed out and I can't sign the other one.
